For 20 years, many articles report the presence of new compounds, called "emerging wastewater literature review, in wastewater and aquatic environments. The US EPA United States - Environmental Protection Agency defines emerging pollutants as new chemicals without regulatory status and which impact on ilterature and human health are poorly understood.
